Cyberinfrastructure

Our cyberinfrastructure projects to date have mostly focused the development of novel web-based interacting mapping applications. In 2007, we began collaborations with UTEP's Department of Computer Science and initiated the development of applications that improve trust and optimization associated with instrumented field-based data collection. The latter is now a primary focus of our contribution to UTEP's NSF funded CyberShARE Center. Our cyberinfrastructure projects include:

• Maintenance and development of the Arctic research Mapping Application (ARMAP www.armap.org).
• Maintenance, development and innovation of the Barrow Area Information Database and Internet Map Server (BAID-IMS www.baidims.org)
• Development and implementation of the terrestrial Circumarctic Environmental Observatories Network (CEON)

• CREST-Cyber-ShARE Center of Excellence: A Center for the Sharing of Cyber-Resource to Advance Science and Education

• CyberShARE Subproject 2: Advancing the utility of Cyberinfrastructure in Environmental Science
